Joe Parkey is an experienced corporate and business attorney, principally focusing his practice on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, new business entity formation, private equity and negotiated investments, and general corporate and business law matters.
Mr. Parkey has spent most of his career in private practice representing large and small public and private companies, private equity firms, individual investors and business owners. He has significant industry exposure to manufacturing, traditional banking, financial services, healthcare, communications, technology-oriented emerging businesses, and energy, among many others.
Joe joined the firm in February 2018 as special counsel. Prior to joining Woolf McClane, he practiced in New Orleans, Louisiana as a partner at a large regional law firm, and later spend two years as vice president and special counsel with a private clinical research company.
A native of East Tennessee, Joe received his law degree in 1999 from Tulane Law School, where he was a managing editor of the Tulane Law Review, and an M.B.A. the same year the same year from the Tulane University’s A. B. Freeman School of Business. He graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1995 with a B.S. in business administration.
Joe is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana.
