Knoxville, TN – Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen and Carpenter, PLLC is pleased to announce that it has expanded its health care and transactional practice with the addition of two new partners, Patti T. Cotten and Jason P. Lambert. The announcement was made by the Managing Partner, Richard S. Matlock.

    Patti T. Cotten, an experienced health law and transactional attorney, is a member of the firm who is actively engaged in advising clients with a broad range of complex healthcare business and regulatory issues. With a comprehensive understanding of the federal and state regulatory frameworks which impact healthcare providers, she counsels individual physicians, physicians’ groups, urgent and emergency care companies, ancillary service providers, healthcare management companies and specialists, and other related business entities as they navigate the business aspects of healthcare.

    Ms. Cotten is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker for various health-related professional and educational organizations, including having served as a guest lecturer to the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Health Section and as a speaker for the Tennessee Medical Group Manager’s Association.

    Ms. Cotten was born and raised in South Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated summa cum laude and top graduate from both the University of Tennessee in 1982 (with a B.A. in Communications) and the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1986. After spending a year practicing in Dallas, Texas, Ms. Cotten returned to her hometown and has practiced in the Knoxville legal community for thirty-five (35) years.

    Jason P. Lambert, an experienced business attorney and advisor, is a member of the firm who represents a diverse range of individuals and companies, including physicians and physician groups, in transactional, commercial and healthcare related matters. Mr. Lambert’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions; purchase and sale transactions; contract negotiations on behalf of clients; contract review and drafting; business organizations; and other general transactional matters.

    Mr. Lambert is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association, where he has served on the KBA Nominating Committee. Mr. Lambert was inducted as a Fellow of the Knoxville Bar Foundation in 2012. Mr. Lambert serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation.

    Mr. Lambert was born in Kingsport, Tennessee.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1993 with a B.A. in Political Science and the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1996 with a concentration in Business Transactions.
