Woolf McClane possesses experience in preparing probate pleadings to be filed with the court and representing the administrator in hearings before the probate court. The firm also assists administrators in the marshaling and inventorying of estate assets, the identification and payment of valid estate debts, the dispute and challenge of invalid estate debts, and the distribution of estate assets to the appropriate beneficiaries. The firm has expertise in tax planning for estate administration to minimize the burden of taxes on the estate and heirs and works with administrators in preparing and filing federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns and state and federal income tax returns. Other experience includes fiduciary disputes and litigation, including will contests, disputes between beneficiaries, fiduciary breach of duty, fiduciary accountings, and other contested matters.
