J. Calvin Ward is an associate with the firm. His primary areas of practice include general business, corporate, and commercial litigation. Mr. Ward’s practice also includes the representation of creditors and litigants in the United States Bankruptcy Courts.
Mr. Ward is a native of LaFollette, Tennessee. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending the University of Tennessee, Mr. Ward was ranked in the top ten percent of his class and was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
He received his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005, where he also graduated magna cum laude. While attending law school he served as a member of the Judging Committee for the 2004-2005 Moot Court Board as well as a law student academic support tutor. In addition, he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Methods. During law school, Mr. Ward was also very active in several intra-school Mock Trial competitions and was a finalist in the spring 2005 competition.
Mr. Ward was admitted to practice law in 2005 in all courts of the State of Tennessee. He is currently a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
